Assembling the folding-canoe in Leeds
Here is James assembling his 'Blue Poppy' on the river behind his apartment in Leeds, England. He writes, 'The canoe is great. It is very stable, quite easy to paddle and holds a straight course without much weather cocking (at least compared to Canadian canoes which I have used in the past).' Here is Lizzy, who has given the name 'Blue Poppy' to James' canoe, after passing one of the numerous locks in the river:

This is myself rowing the folding-canoe in New York City harbor. Because I use mine as a dinghy I've equipped it with two oar locks and I row rather than paddle. My canoe makes the ideal tender. For the past 10 years I've lived aboard my sailboat and done blue water sailing at least several months out of every year and always either had the hassle of a heavy engine, a weak engine or a bad row boat. Since I've been using my folding-canoe I find I can out-row 5 hp engine-powered dinghies (if there is more than one person in them :))
